Substation Reliability Evaluation with Dependent Outages and Switching Failures Using Bayesian Networks

Abstract:
This paper presents an application of the Bayesian networks (BN) to substation reliability analysis. First part of the paper describes BN used to construct simple nodes, second shows the ethodology
used in constructing models of complex systems. A new model to represent dependent outages is
introduced in the paper with a discussion how to avoid cycles when creating network models. This
approach is then used to construct BN to model Switching Failures. A combination of path analysis
with the Bayesian networks to enhance the construction of the latter is also presented

Efficient Interference Aware Multipath Dynamic Source Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad hoc Network

Abstract:
One of the important research characteristic in the Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANETs) is routing. Development of efficient routing protocol is a necessity to improve the performance of routing. We propose an Efficient Interference Aware Multipath Dynamic Source Routing Protocol (EIAM-DSR) based on Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) protocol for MANETs. The main aim of the proposed routing protocol is to select link-disjoint routes with the minimum interference between them. The efficiency of the protocol is studied in terms of the overall throughput and the packet delivery ratio. The Simulation of EIAM-DSR and DSR protocols is done using Java and results show that the proposed routing protocol has more packet delivery ratio and throughput compared with the interference aware Dynamic Source Routing Protocol.

Title:
Interactive Multi-Robot System Design

Abstract:
Interactive robots are electromagnetic systems that can take autonomous decisions and transmit what they have learned to another robot or other robots through wired/wireless communication methods. Two interactive robots were designed and developed within the scope of this study. The first robot drew the point-based map of a 5x5 maze, the entrance and exit of which were specified, starting from the line of entrance until the point of exit. It then calculated the shortest path between entrance and exit points using its recursive algorithm and wall following algorithm, and transmitted this information to another robot via RF wireless communication. The second robot, on the other hand, travelled from the entrance to the exit of the maze using the shortest path information it received from the first robot.............

Abstract:
Environmental degradation is the deterioration of the environment through depletion of resources such as air, water and soil; the destruction of ecosystems and the extinction of wildlife. It is defined as any change or disturbance to the environment perceived to be deleterious or undesirable. Keoladeo National Park (KNP), Bharatpur, Rajasthan is a wetland of international importance designated under the Ramsar Convention as well as a World Heritage Site (UNESCO). It is situated at the confluence of Gambhir and Banganga rivers. Keoladeo is the only known wintering area of the highly endangered western population of the Siberian Crane. These features make the park very lucrative to visitors both from India and overseas..............
